Pack 8 is an all-inclusive, family-oriented community. We encourage sibling participation in all our events. Our program is designed to offer fun and adventure as we make new friends, learn important life skills, and serve our community. New scouts are welcome to attend any of our meetings and may join at any time.
Organization
The Cub Scout Pack is made up of five dens, organized by grade. There are anywhere from 10-15 boys in a den.
Grades 4 and 5 make up the Webelos I & II Dens (Webelos= “we’ll be loyal scouts”).
Each den follows an age-appropriate program.
Where and When We Meet
Pack 8 meets in the lower level cafeteria at Our Lady of Lourdes church, 7500 Pearl Street, Bethesda, MD. Pack meetings generally are held on the 2nd Tuesday evening of the month, from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. Dens generally meet one to two times per month on Saturday mornings from 9-10:30 a.m. Den activities may be meetings or outings, depending on the program and goals established by the den leader. Please consult the Pack 8 calendar for specific meeting dates. We offer activities beyond our “core” program to give scouts more opportunity to earn achievements and have fun together.
